PJMS Fall Cross Country 2024

To Our New and Returning Moose Cross Country Runners:

PJMS Cross Country season will start Monday, August 19, 2024 right after school at 2:30PM. In order to participate in practice, all athletes need to be signed up on PlanetHS, have a physical that was done within the last 18 months uploaded, and pay the sports fee of $100.00. All grade levels (6-8) are eligible to participate.

Practices will be every day after school from 2:45-3:45PM. All runners should report to the big gym after school at 2:30. Athletes must be picked up by 4:00PM.

On XC Meet days, the athletes will take a bus to the meet site. The bus will depart PJMS at 1:45PM. All athletes will need a ride home at the conclusion of their race.

Coaches:

All athletes are strongly encouraged to have the following: a watch with a timer, good running shoes, a light jacket and a water bottle.

Fall 2024 Cross Country Meet Schedule:
Meet 1: 8/28/24 @ Palmer High
Meet 2: 9/04/24 @ Reddington Jr/Sr High School
Meet 3: 9/11/24 @ Palmer High
Meet 4: 9/18/24 Championship @ Reddington Jr/Sr High School

Athletic Eligibility

1. Students must maintain A, B, C, or D grades to be eligible to compete.
2. Student athletes who are ineligible may practice (at the coach's discretion), but may not compete until eligibility is re-established.
3. Students must attend all classes on competition days.
4. Practices are closed and are for athletes, managers, and coaches only. Siblings and friends of players are not to remain on school grounds after school unless otherwise chaperoned by a PJM staff member.
